Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION 1 system on the SUZUKI GSX-R 750 (without noise damper):
Power: the Akrapovic EVOLUTION 1 and RACING systems are designed to deliver a major performance increase at the top of the rpm range. They are intended for racing motorcyclists who open up their throttles and keep their engines revving high. But the system also delivers a performance increase throughout the rest of the range. The Akrapovic EVOLUTION 1 and RACING systems serve up an incredible 8.3 HP increase in max. power at 13200 rpm, while the max. increased power is a huge 11.4 HP at 13600 rpm.
Torque: the Akrapovic EVOLUTION 1 and RACING systems leave their mark on the torque curve too. There is an increase throughout nearly the entire range, with the Akrapovic curve taking a different shape only around 4000 rpm.

CONFIGURATION
The 4-2-1 configurations of the RACING and EVOLUTION 1 systems are identical, differing only in their material selection. The RACING uses stainless steel, while the EVOLUTION 1 is made of titanium. The upper part of the header tubes is made using the state-of-the-art HYDROFORMING process, where the tubes are formed using water under extreme pressure. Using this process we have obtained maximum efficiency of the exhaust gas flow. The system leads into twin collectors, and from there into a single link pipe and muffler. The muffler is available in either titanium or carbon-fiber. The performance is identical in both cases. The interior of both systems is also identical, made of titanium. A carbon-fiber muffler hanging bracket is available as an option, requiring the removal of the passenger foot-rests, and setting the muffler in a slightly higher position. All of the tubes are connected with free-floating joints secured with silicon-shielded tensioning springs.
